About the Artist
I found a love for art thanks my mother, who hummed melodically to her music while painting with water colors. She allowed us the freedom of creativity at all times. A nurturing space and a time of emotional peace.
Brought into this world amongst the lush temperate forests of coastal B.C., their grand array of mosses and ferns have always held an allure despite being raised in Northern B.C. , an equally beautiful biome full of diverse terrain. Autumn on our property was an especially favorite time - I remember the smells of pine upon the fresh cool air, dancing seas of golden aspen leaves, exploring beaver ponds and the long awaited reprieve fall brought, from the swarms of insects filling the summer meadows.
Reflecting, life seemed full of possibility in younger years as I dreamt of the future. Time now seems to be more fleeting year by year. Bringing with it visualizations and simultaneous thoughts of past, present and future. Vivid, tangible, full of beauty and joy, but deep with the spectrum of emotions. It's my mission to maintain an open heart amidst the raw pains that life can present, and to stay enchanted with the world's lighter side while maintaining presence in the moment, when our thoughts may sink beneath the safe surface into the cold.
